This morning Jason left for Costa Rica.... At this point my feelings about his trip have surpassed standard jealously and pretty much turned to anger when I found out he is going to the rainforest and will probably play with monkeys. Who wants to go on a trip OUTSIDE of the country with me? He better bring me back something good....
The cat better start behaving himself or he isn't going to make it without his dad to protect him. Yesterday Jason and I had this text convo:
Me: Me and your cat are about to THROW DOWN
Jason: You aren't going to last 10 days with him...What did he do?
Me: No. HE isn't going to last 10 days...
And as far as what he did... Well here is a little recap:
First. He started "digging" at and around his food plate.... AND he flipped it over. According to google wild cats dig a hole and hide their food from other animals and then come back and eat the rest later... and this is an instinctive behavior. Well...Mr.Bojangles decided to start getting all instinctual yesterday (despite the fact that he is the ONLY animal in the house) and in his food hiding he flipped the plate over and get wet cat food everywhere. I don't have a picture because I was annoyed and was trying to restrain myself from wringing his pretty little neck.
Second. Nothing new here... Let's just say I can't wait to move into the new condo so I can unpack my bathroom garbage cans with lids and change up the toilet paper holder...
Third. I went to look for some shoes and this is what I found. On the right the "before toe" on the left the "after" toe.
And if that wasn't bad and annoying enough... On the left the "before" heel. On the right the "after" heel. Not to mention that in the time it took me to pull these shoes out of the closet and calm down... then find my camera to capture this LOVELY memory, I turned around and the cat was CHEWING ON THE TOES AGAIN!
Fourth. Remember this nice plant I got for my birthday.
...... Remember how the cat kept eating it and sitting in it? Well I had to move it to the only place in the apartment where he couldn't get to it, which isn't ideal for growth or even sustaining life... Let's just say the poor plant has had a hard life so far (with all the eating and being sat on and darkness) and there isn't much left. So I repotted and watered what was left in hopes of saving it.... I turn my back for ONE SECOND and the damn cat was chewing on the leaves AGAIN. I screamed at him and put a laundry basket over the plant, which was sitting in the sink until some of the water could drain out enough to be returned to is dark corner in our bedroom.
This is all that is left:
Ok, that is enough about how annoying the cat is. So, in other news, my sister-in-law Helen just posted this picture from Christmas time on Facebook:
This is Helen and Jason's dad....
This is Jason...
...Can we say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree?
So everyone pray that the cat makes it until Jason gets home.. and have a great weekend!
