Beep Beep.........!

As I was driving to work this morning I was following a red truck. All of a sudden this little, skinny, thing SHOT our from a bush and darted across the street. It waiting until the last second to cross the road, and I thought the red truck was going to have some animal-smush on the bottom of its tires.....


But somehow, magically, the creature made it through. And by the time (all of .0001 seconds later) I got to the where the creature was I saw the back end of it as it headed into the bushed on the other side. It was a BIRD! What kind of crazy-fast bird could seriously run across the street faster than it could fly, and faster than any other road-crossing animal I had ever seen?!?


I thought, hum... Maybe a road-runner? Wouldn't that be appropriate? But then, I thought to myself, "It can't be a road-runner. It isn't tall, it isn't blueish-purple, and didn't say beep-beep... It must be some other kind of bird.

Then I got to work, and googled road-runner, and it turns out it was a road-runner after all! 

...They definitely don't have roadrunners in Ohio.
