Jason and I met at OU through our friends Caitlin and Michael. She was my roommate, Michael was Jason's. The rest is history... Except that up until this past weekend Caitlin and my marrying sports-industry boys really had no perks.
THEN....
FINALLY....
Jason's team and Michael's team played each other and Caitlin and I got to hang out!!!!!!
HALLELUJA!
The boys joked... at least I think they were joking... that we would end up skipping the game and do girl things instead. So we had to have proof of our whereabouts :)
Here we are in the car before the game.
Here is a stadium shot.
Here we are at the game.
We had TONS of fun. Here are some things I learned this weekend:
- We are old.
- We go to bed WAY earlier than we used to.
- We can't hold our liquor like we used to.
- Our yellow labs have officially been entered into an arranged marriage. (Dooley is pumped, he loves older women.)
- When it comes to Alabama vs. Georgia... I am apparently the only smart one. Roll Damn Tide (Which basically means, by the way, that Texas A&M are the national champions because Bama will beat ND and TAMU beat Bama.)
- The $3 gloves at target with the weird pointer finger and thumb tips actually DO work on your iPhone!
- Southerners missed the ball when it comes to mushy vegetables and pimento cheese, but they hit a home run with the whole Chicken and Waffles thing:
Good weekend with some of my favorite friends. I can't wait to do it again :)
